A prayer – for splendour restored<\/h3>\n

inspired by Isaiah 35:1-10<\/a>, Psalm 146:5-10<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n

For the speechless tongues of those oppressed
\nFor weak hands, feeble knees, widowed, spirits
\nMade lame, we pray<\/p>\n

For those orphaned from war, violence, fear
\nParentless children, silent, stifled cries. For the
\nHungry, we pray<\/p>\n

For wives, beaten, abused, trampled, shot
\nSpirits abandoned, imprisoned by fear. For
\nWomen, we pray<\/p>\n

In the dry land of desert wilderness, parched
\nStranded spirit, a deer that cannot leap. For the
\nBroken, we pray<\/p>\n

Blessed are those whose help is God
\nHappy are those whose hope is God, for the
\nGood News, we pray<\/p>\n

For the Good News of God, born human, who
\nComes to live and love us, as us, be glad, rejoice,
\nSinging, we pray<\/p>\n

For hope, like blooming flowers in a dusty desert
\nFor hope, compassion bursting forth, be strong!
\nGod is with us.
\nAmen.<\/p>\n
