My God,
\nI pray that I may so know you and love you
\nthat I may rejoice in you.
\nAnd if I may not do so fully in this life,
\nlet me go steadily on
\nto the day when I come to fullness of life.
\nMeanwhile let my mind meditate on your eternal goodness,
\nlet my tongue speak of it,
\nlet my heart live it,
\nlet my soul hunger for it,
\nand my whole being desire it,
