Prayers of the People<\/h3>\n

For all the blessings of this life,
\nwe give thanks to You, Creator God.
\nFor families, friends, colleagues, neighbors, and strangers,
\nwho nurture us, that the love of God may grow within.
\nThat Your love, your Word, like a seed,
\nmay grow to produce in us, good fruit.<\/p>\n

May your love be like a seed, taking root and growing strong.<\/strong><\/p>\n

For the leaders of various nations and cities,
\nthat they may lead with strong hearts
\nand gentle hands and generous spirits,
\nwith compassion and mercy, with wisdom and grace.
\nMay they reflect your will guiding all their actions and decisions.<\/p>\n

May your love be like a seed, taking root and growing strong.<\/strong><\/p>\n

For those who serve in harm’s way,
\nthose who live in dangerous places,
\nthose who live in areas of war and strife,
\nthose who live in fear,
\nthose who worry about employment, bills, food,
\nand struggle just to find dignity in life.
\nMay your grace bring peace and safety to all people, one to another.<\/p>\n

May your love be like a seed, taking root and growing strong.<\/strong><\/p>\n

For those who suffer from any illness or dis-ease\u2014
\nof mind, body, or spirit.
\nRestore these, and all those we carry in our hearts, to fullness of health\u2014
\nhealth as only you, O God, can bring.
\nMay your mercy shower each of us with healing mercy and love.<\/p>\n

May your love be like a seed, taking root and growing strong.<\/strong><\/p>\n

For those who are dying, and for those who have died.
\nSend forth your comforting love.
\nGive solace to those who mourn.
\nConsole those who grieve.
\nMay your grace surround us
\nlike a mantle upon our heads,
\na shawl upon our shoulders,
\na hand, to hold our hand.<\/p>\n
