From the desire of being esteemed,
\nDeliver me, Jesus.<\/strong>
\nFrom the desire of being loved,
\nDeliver me, Jesus.<\/strong>
\nFrom the desire of being extolled,
\nDeliver me, Jesus.<\/strong>
\nFrom the desire of being honored,
\nDeliver me, Jesus.<\/strong>
\nFrom the desire of being praised,
\nDeliver me, Jesus.<\/strong>
\nFrom the desire of being preferred to others,

\nFrom the desire of being consulted,

From the fear of being humiliated,

That others may be loved more than I,

\nThat, in the opinion of the world,
\nothers may increase and I may decrease,
