Blessing of Hope<\/h3>\n

So may we know
\nthe hope
\nthat is not just
\nfor someday
\nbut for this day\u2014
\nhere, now,
\nin this moment
\nthat opens to us:<\/p>\n

hope not made
\nof wishes
\nbut of substance,<\/p>\n

hope made of sinew
\nand muscle
\nand bone,<\/p>\n

hope that has breath
\nand a beating heart,<\/p>\n

hope that will not
\nkeep quiet
\nand be polite,<\/p>\n

hope that knows
\nhow to holler
\nwhen it is called for,<\/p>\n

hope that knows
\nhow to sing
\nwhen there seems
\nlittle cause,<\/p>\n

hope that raises us
\nfrom the dead\u2014<\/p>\n

not someday
\nbut this day,
\nevery day,
\nagain and
\nagain and
