This is Eugene Peterson’s version of the Lord’s Prayer, from The Message<\/a>:<\/p>\n

Our Father in heaven,
\nReveal who you are.
\nSet the world right;
\nDo what\u2019s best\u2014
\n      as above, so below.
\nKeep us alive with three square meals.
\nKeep us forgiven with you and forgiving others.
\nKeep us safe from ourselves and the Devil.
\nYou\u2019re in charge!
\nYou can do anything you want!
\nYou\u2019re ablaze in beauty!
\n      Yes. Yes. Yes.<\/p>\n

\nthankful in receiving,
\ntireless in seeking,

\nthat we may always proclaim your coming kingdom
\nand do your will on earth as in heaven.

Forgive us when we don\u2019t live as\u00a0you\u00a0intend, and may we be ready to forgive others when they don\u2019t live as\u00a0we\u00a0intend. <\/p>\n

Guide us in your wisdom away from the things that would distort us, and restore the parts in us that are already distorted.<\/p>\n

You are goodness, beauty and truth.
