\n\u201cIn repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength, but you would have none of it.” <\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\n <\/p>\n

A creed<\/h3>\n

We believe in God the Father, creator of heaven and earth.
\nThe one who is full of patience,
\nwho is not afraid of silence,
\nwho does not need to fill each moment with activity and noise.
\nThe one who is beyond bluster and flurry,
\nand who does not jostle for attention.<\/p>\n

We believe in God the Son, Saviour of creation,
\nwho slipped into Bethlehem one night, mostly unnoticed,
\nwho lived thirty years without headlines or hurry,
\nwho frequently took time alone with his patient Father,
\nwho waited for the right time to become the suffering servant,
\nwho stood quietly before the noise of his accusers,
\nwhose silence overpowered their words,
\nwho died, then rose again on a quiet Sunday morning.<\/p>\n

We believe in God the Holy Spirit,
\nwho strengthens, empowers, renews and refreshes,
\nsometimes arriving with obvious power,
\nsometimes with the quiet breath of a whisper.<\/p>\n

We believe in one God
\nwho patiently waits for us,
\nand who longs for us to do the same.<\/p>\n
