\nOur help is in the name of the Lord,
\nMaker of heaven and earth<\/strong><\/p>\n

v 1-3<\/strong>
\n1<\/sup> If the LORD had not been on our side\u2014
\n      let Israel say\u2014
\n2<\/sup> if the LORD had not been on our side
\n      when people attacked us,
\n3<\/sup> they would have swallowed us alive
\n      when their anger flared against us;<\/p>\n

Our help is in the name of the Lord,
\nMaker of heaven and earth<\/strong><\/p>\n

\n1a<\/sup> If the LORD had not been on our side
\n4<\/sup> the flood would have engulfed us,
\n      the torrent would have swept over us,
