Call to Worship<\/h3>\n

based on Micah 6:1-8<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n

Children of God,
\nit’s time to take off your shoes,
\nstep out of your comfort zone, and
\nwade with trust into the stream of God’s mercy.
\nStand still for a moment, barefoot, on holy ground.
\nLet the healing waters wash your feet.
\nTake a deep breath as Love soaks into your soul.
\nBe silent and listen for God’s word to us today.<\/p>\n

 
\nRead Micah 6:6-8:<\/em><\/p>\n

\nWith what shall I come before the Lord
\n    and bow down before the exalted God?
\nShall I come before him with burnt offerings,
\n    with calves a year old?
\nWill the Lord be pleased with thousands of rams,
\n    with ten thousand rivers of oil?
\nShall I offer my firstborn for my transgression,
\n    the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?
\nHe has shown you, O mortal, what is good.
\n    And what does the Lord require of you?
\nTo act justly and to love mercy
\n    and to walk humbly with your God.\n<\/div>\n

 
\n 
\nHow shall we worship our God?
\nWe have heard what the Lord requires of us.
\nLeave empty talk and pride behind.
\nWe must walk the walk.
\nPrepare to step out in faith, even into troubled waters.
\nOnly God knows where we might need to go.
\nDon’t be afraid.
\nJesus will guide our steps along the way,
\nteaching us to walk humbly,
\nto love boldly,
\nto serve God with body, soul, mind, and strength.
\nLet us pray for the humility and courage
\nto follow where the Spirit leads.<\/p>\n
