Prayer of Confession<\/h3>\n

O God, we long to rest in you,
\n      to trust in your goodness,
\n      in your care for us,
\n      in your abundant life.
\nBut we don\u2019t know how to rest
\n      and we have forgotten how to trust:
\nWe seek material goods that we don\u2019t really need.
\nWe befriend people not always out of love.
\nWe ask questions of you like the Sadducees did of Jesus,
\n      questions that try only to prove our point,
\n      not to grow in understanding of your desires for us.
\nSlow us down, Holy One.
\nAttend to us, Holy One,
\n      and show us that you are our salvation and our resting place.<\/p>\n
