Prayer of Thanksgiving<\/h3>\n

O God,
\nWe thank you for this earth, our home;
\nfor the wide sky and the blessed sun,
\nfor the ocean and streams,
\nfor the towering hills and the whispering wind,
\nfor the trees and green grass.<\/p>\n

We thank you for our senses
\nby which we hear the songs of birds,
\nand see the splendour of fields of golden wheat,
\nand taste autumn’s fruit,
\nrejoice in the feel of snow,
\nand smell the breath of spring flowers.<\/p>\n

Grant us a heart opened wide to all this beauty;
\nand save us from being so blind
\nthat we pass unseeing
\nwhen even the common thorn bush
\nis aflame with your glory.<\/p>\n

For each new dawn is filled with infinite possibilities
\nfor new beginnings and new discoveries.
\nLife is constantly changing and renewing itself.<\/p>\n

In this new day of new beginnings with God,
\nall things are possible.
\nWe are restored and renewed in a joyous awakening
\nto the wonder that our lives are and, yet, can be.
\nAmen. <\/p>\n
