A prayer for wholeness<\/h3>\n

We grieve and confess
\nthat we hurt and have been hurt,
\nto the third and fourth generations,
\nthat we are so afraid of pain
\nthat we shield ourselves from being vulnerable to others,
\nand refuse to be open and trusting as a child …<\/p>\n

O God of Wholeness, we rest in you …
\nYou listen with us to the sound of running water,
\nyou sit with us under the shade of the trees of our healing,
\nyou walk once more with us in the garden in the cool of the day,
\nthe oil of your anointing penetrates the cells of our being,
\nthe warmth of your hands steadies us and gives us courage.
\nO God of Wholeness, we rest in you …<\/p>\n
