Prayer of confession<\/h3>\n

Almighty God,
\nYou have set before us the path
\nbut we have wandered on our own
\nto try to find our way.<\/p>\n

Sometimes we are like toddlers
\nand we hear Your call and come back.<\/p>\n

Other times, we are children testing boundaries,
\nignoring Your call until fear finally makes us look back.<\/p>\n

And still other times we are full of youthful rebellion,
\ndemanding to be cut loose and set free,
\nnot knowing how much we still need
\nto seek Your wisdom and guidance.<\/p>\n

But most of all, too often we think we are adults
\nand have figured it all our and know our own way,
\nonly to stumble and stray so far. <\/p>\n

Remind us, parental God,
\nthat we are always Your children,
\nthat we are never fully grown up in Your sight,
\nthat we always have much to learn.<\/p>\n

Help us to seek You every day,
\nto acknowledge that we need Your wisdom and guidance,
\nand help us to return to the path and walk with You.
\nIn the name of Christ,
\nwho is our companion on this journey of faith, we pray.
\nAmen.<\/strong><\/p>\n
