John 1:14<\/a>
\nThe Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

\nJohn 1:16<\/a>
\nOut of his fullness we have all received grace in place of grace already given.
\n 
\nColossians 4:2-6<\/a>
\nDevote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains. Pray that I may proclaim it clearly, as I should. Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone. <\/p>\n\n

A prayer for Ordinary Time *<\/h3>\n

* the season between Pentecost and the beginning of Advent<\/em><\/p>\n

Creator Redeemer Sustainer God,
\nHow extraordinary is Your \u201cordinary time.\u201d
\nHow uncommon is the commonplace in Your Kingdom.
\nThe mundane is made miraculous,
\nfull of holy opportunities.
\nThe smallest joy a jubilee!<\/p>\n

Created anew may we grow tall and
\n\u201cgrace-full\u201d in Your likeness.<\/p>\n

Redeemed by Your sacrifice may we come
\nto know the depths of Your love.<\/p>\n

Sustained by Your Spirit may we be steadfast
\nand shining in Your service.<\/p>\n

We humbly ask that You continue to bless us
\nwith all we need for
\nthe living of these days\u2014
\nthese wondrous ordinary days\u2014.
\nthat our everyday lives may be gifted
\nto experience the vitality of Christian community,
\nto share Your message of hope,
\nreaching out to the poor and hurting,
