border: solid 1px gray;\npadding:20px 40px 20px 40px;\"><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"margin-bottom:0px;margin-top:0px;\">Held in Your Word<\/h3>\n<p>by Christine Colliar<\/p>\n<p><em>I wait for Hashem, my nefesh doth wait, and in His Devar do I hope.<\/em>\u00a0<br \/>\n(<a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Tehillim%20130%3A5&#038;version=OJB\" target=\"_blank\">Psalm 130:5<\/a>, Orthodox Jewish Bible)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<br \/>\nOut of the depths I call to You, Eternal One,<br \/>\nfrom the unlit places where words fall away,<br \/>\nfrom the hollow where breath gathers and breaks;<br \/>\nthere, my whole self turns towards You.<\/p>\n<p>I wait for Hashem,<br \/>\nI wait in the quiet that stretches and holds,<br \/>\nI keep watch where nothing seems to move,<br \/>\nand yet everything leans towards Your coming.<\/p>\n<p>My nefesh waits,<br \/>\nmy life drawn out like a thread towards Your light,<br \/>\nmy breath suspended between what is<br \/>\nand what You have spoken into being.<\/p>\n<p>I wait for the Eternal,<br \/>\nas the dark leans towards morning,<br \/>\nas the earth opens to rain unseen,<br \/>\nso I remain, turned towards You.<\/p>\n<p>In Your devar I place my hope,<br \/>\nin the Word that does not fade into silence,<br \/>\nin the promise that gathers form in hidden ways,<br \/>\nin the speaking that becomes what it declares.<\/p>\n<p>So I wait for You, Eternal One,<br \/>\nwith the whole of my being held open,<br \/>\nfor what You speak is already on its way,<br \/>\nand Your faithfulness is rising, even now.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<br \/>\nChristine writes,<\/p>\n<div style=\"border-style: solid; border-width: 0px 0px 0px 1px; padding: 0px 0px 0px 20px;\">\n<em>Hashem<\/em> &#8211; \u2028Literally \u2018the Name\u2019.\u2028This is a reverent Jewish way of referring to God without speaking the divine name. <\/p>\n<p><em>Nefesh<\/em> &#8211; Often translated \u2018soul\u2019, but it&#8217;s more than that, it&#8217;s the whole self, one&#8217;s life, breath, inner being, even physical existence.\u2028 So, this is not just spiritual waiting, it is deep, embodied longing.<\/p>\n<p><em>Devar<\/em> &#8211;
