OPENING PRAYER<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>O God,<br \/>\nyou are the gathering one<br \/>\nwho calls us into community<br \/>\nwith each other<br \/>\nto love and work,<br \/>\nto support and heal.<\/p>\n<p>You are the gathering one<br \/>\nwho calls us into community<br \/>\nwith all people;<br \/>\nto bring justice and hope,<br \/>\nfreedom and truth.<\/p>\n<p>You are the gathering one<br \/>\nwho calls us into community<br \/>\nwith the whole creation;<br \/>\nto live in harmony,<br \/>\nto cherish and renew.<\/p>\n<p>Let us worship the God<br \/>\nwho makes us one.<\/p>\n<hr\/>\n<p><strong>B. READING<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Colossians+3%3A11-14&#038;version=NIVUK\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Colossians 3:11-14<\/a><\/p>\n<hr\/>\n<p><strong>C. LITANY OF CONFESSION<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>God, we believe you have called us to unity, but often we have isolated ourselves from others; forgive us for the times we have turned our backs on those who are different.<\/p>\n<p>God, we believe you have called us to live together as one body; forgive us for the times we have created division within your worldwide church.<\/p>\n<p>God, we believe you ask us to look, listen, and learn from others; forgive us for the times we have ridiculed and attacked those with different viewpoints.<\/p>\n<p>God, we believe you ask us to accept and seek to understand all who are called by your name; forgive us for the times we have offended you by failing to love others as we do ourselves.<\/p>\n<p>God, we believe you call us to be one even as you are one; forgive us for the disunity we have harboured and make us one.<\/p>\n<p>God and Creator of all humankind, your son Jesus Christ prayed that your church might be one even as you our God are one. May you renew our minds and rekindle your love in our hearts, so that by the power of the Spirit, we might find the Oneness that you intend for us. <\/p>\n<p><strong>Amen.<\/strong><\/p>\n<hr\/>\n<p><strong>D. SOFT EYES BLESSING<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cAnd all the believers met together constantly, and shared everything they had\u2026.\u201d<\/em> Acts 2:44<\/p>\n<p>May the God who is community<br \/>\nbe with us as we seek to be a community<\/p>\n<p>May God bless our dreams<br \/>\nand may God shatter our dreams<\/p>\n<p>May God help us to be real<br \/>\nand to find depth in weakness and brokenness<\/p>\n<p>May God help us to face and grow through conflict<br \/>\nrather than pretend by being nice<\/p>\n<p>May we look at each other through soft eyes<br \/>\nand truly respect each other as human beings<\/p>\n<p>May God help us let go of control<br \/>\nand the need to fix one another<\/p>\n<p>May God help us discover we are needy in our own souls<br \/>\nand give attention to our own hearts<\/p>\n<p>May God grant us the gift of an extraordinary love that flows<br \/>\nfrom the heart of God that covers a multitude of wrongs<\/p>\n<p><strong>Amen.<\/strong><\/p>\n<hr\/>\n<p><strong>E.
