I make no apologies for including another Easter prayer, as we are still in the season of Easter, enjoying the afterglow.<\/p>\n

Christ is risen!
\nHe is risen indeed! <\/p>\n

Pastoral Prayer for Easter – and beyond<\/h3>\n

When everything was dark
\nand it seemed that the sun would never shine again,
\nyour love broke through.<\/p>\n

Your love was too strong,
\ntoo wide,
\ntoo deep
\nfor death to hold.<\/p>\n

The sparks cast by your love
\ndance and spread
\nand burst forth
\nwith resurrection light.<\/p>\n

Gracious God,
\nWe praise you for the light of new life
\nmade possible through Jesus.<\/p>\n

We praise you for the light of new life
\nthat shone on the first witnesses of resurrection.<\/p>\n

We praise you for the light of new life
\nthat continues to shine in our hearts today.<\/p>\n

We pray that the Easter light of life, hope and joy
\nwill live in us each day;
\nand that we will be bearers of that light
\ninto the lives of others. Amen.<\/p>\n
