A prayer<\/h3>\n

Bless the work of our hands, O God.<\/p>\n

Bless the hands that work the land;
\nhands that move earth, plant seeds and harvest,
\nhands with callouses and dirty fingernails, strong hands.
\n\u00a0
\nBless the hands that use machines;
\nhands that drive cars, trucks and forklifts,
\nhands on computer keyboards, capable hands.
\n\u00a0
\nBless the hands that make things;
\nhands that manufacture and create,
\nworking wood and metal and plastic, practical hands.
\n\u00a0
\nBless the hands that clean;
\nhands that wash, mop and scrub,
\nhands that know what to do with soap, determined hands.
\n\u00a0
\nBless the hands that make music and art;
\nhands that play instruments and hold paintbrushes,
\nhands that are creative tools, artistic hands.
\n\u00a0
\nBless the hands that care for people;
\nhands that cook and feed, heal and nurture,
\nhands with a gentle touch, loving hands.
\n\u00a0
\nBless the hands that are generous;
\nhands that give away money and food,
\nhands that are always trying to be empty, Christ-like hands.

\nBless the tiny, baby hands.
\nBless the strong adult hands.
\nBless the hands that are folded in prayer.
\nBless the hands that are lifted in praise.
\nOur hands\u00a0do the work of your hands,
