Lord,
\nBecause love is patient \u2026
\nHelp me to be slow to judge, but quick to listen,
\nhesitant to criticize, but eager to encourage,
\nremembering your endless patience with me.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Because love is kind \u2026
\nHelp my words to be gentle and my actions to be thoughtful.
\nRemind me to smile and to say \u201cPlease\u201d and \u201cThank You\u201d
\nbecause those little things still mean so much.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Because love does not envy or boast, and it is not proud \u2026
\nHelp me have a heart that is humble and sees the good in others.
\nMay I celebrate and appreciate all that I have and all that I am,
\nas well as doing the same for those around me.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Because love is not rude or self-seeking \u2026
\nHelp me to speak words that are easy on the ear and on the heart.
\nWhen I\u2019m tempted to get wrapped up in my own little world,
\nremind me there\u2019s a great big world out there full of needs and hurts.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Because love is not easily angered and keeps no record of wrongs \u2026
\nHelp me to forgive others as you have forgiven me.
\nWhen I want to hold onto a grudge,
\ngently help me release it
\nso I can reach out with a hand of love instead.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Because love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth \u2026
\nHelp me stand up for what is right and good.
\nMay I defend the defenceless, and help the helpless.
\nShow me how I can make a difference.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Because love always protects and always trusts \u2026
\nHelp me to be a refuge for those around me.
\nWhen the world outside is harsh and cold,
\nmay my heart be a place of acceptance and warmth.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Finally, because love always perseveres \u2026
