Prayer for Lent<\/h3>\n

O God, who makes all things new,
\nnew stars, new dust, new life;
\ntake my heart,
\nevery hardened edge and measured beat,
\nand create something new in me.<\/p>\n

I need your newness, God,
\nthe rough parts of me made smooth;
\nthe stagnant, stirred;
\nthe stuck, freed;
\nthe unkind, forgiven.<\/p>\n

And then, by the power of your Spirit,
\nI need to be turned toward Love again.
\nAmen.<\/p>\n
