Prayer to God, the Spirit<\/h3>\n

O God,
\nYou are Spirit;
\nYou are wind;
\nYou are breath.<\/p>\n

You meet us in the wonders of creation,
\nin the awe of wonderful things,
\nin the terror of fearful things.
\nYou blow among the fallen leaves,
\nthe broken branches,
\nthe whining pain
\nand the whirlwinds of delight. <\/p>\n

Your wind gently touches our brow
\nwith comfort and caress;
\nyour forgiveness raises us to life;
\nyour challenge disturbs our tidy piles
\nand spreads opportunities before our eyes. <\/p>\n

Gentle Spirit, breathe on us your life.
\nStrong Spirit, open our closed doors to your compassion;
\nUniversal Spirit, inspire us to sing and sigh for justice;
