Addressing “my soul” is common practice in the psalms. Here are some examples:<\/p>\n

Psalm 42:5<\/a>
\nWhy, my soul, are you downcast?
\n      Why so disturbed within me?
\nPut your hope in God,
\n      for I will yet praise him,
\n      my Saviour and my God.<\/p>\n

Psalm 57:8<\/a>
\nAwake, my soul!
\n      Awake, harp and lyre!
\n      I will awaken the dawn.<\/p>\n

Psalm 103:1<\/a>
\nPraise the Lord, my soul;
\n      all my inmost being, praise his holy name.<\/p>\n

Psalm 116:7<\/a>
\nReturn to your rest, my soul,
\n      for the Lord has been good to you.
\n <\/p>\n\n

To supplement your soul-speak<\/em>, here are three prayers to engage and nourish your soul.<\/p>\n\n

Pierce My Soul with Your Love<\/h3>\n

 
\nLord Jesus Christ,
\npierce my soul with your love
\nso that I may always long for you alone,
\nwho are the bread of angels
\nand the fulfillment of the soul’s deepest desires. <\/p>\n

May my heart always hunger and feed on you,
\nso that my soul may be filled with sweetness in your presence. <\/p>\n

May my soul thirst for you,
\nwho are the source of life, wisdom, knowledge, light
\nand all the riches of God our Father. <\/p>\n

May I always seek and find you,
\nthink about you, speak to you
\nand do everything for the honour and glory of your name. <\/p>\n

Be always my hope, my peace, my refuge and help
\nin whom my heart is rooted
\nso that I may never separate from you. <\/p>\n
