Pentecost/Holy Spirit songs

Introduction

This collection contains a series of 10 songs inspired by the events of Pentecost and the ministry of the Holy Spirit in the life of the Church. The songs are suitable for all ages. Most are short. Some tell the story; many are prayers.

I was privileged to share some of the songs with Readers and Ordained Local Ministers at an in-service training recently. An added bonus was that we had two people signing at the event who gave the songs wings.

I found my inspiration everywhere. I want to acknowledge in particular my debt to John Birch of www.faithandworship.com. I drew heavily on one of his prayers for inspiration for the song, "Spirit of life".
