Remember

Introduction

This collection contains 7 songs written during my two-week stay at Dutch L'Abri in autumn 2021.

The songs are inspired in part by morning Bible readings, evening lectures and conversations with guests and community members.

As I prepared to share the songs during a little concert towards the end of my stay, I discerned an overarching theme: "Remember".

Since my return home, I've reworked some of the songs quite a bit. Hopefully their original spark and potential has remained intact. And I found a tune to go with the lyrics I'd written based on Psalm 114 (When Israel came out of Egypt).
